What I have been working on this year and the events and stories of the Alberni Valley this year.
Exciting News so far ....
I have been selected as the "official" photographer for the July 2023 Funtastic - Okee Dokee Music Festival and Softball Tournament. This amazing event is an 80 team 3 day softball tournament with a 2 might music festival. This years headliner will be "Honeymoon Suite". Event page coming soon.
Youtube Channel
I am pleased to announce the creation of my new Youtube channel. As of April I have decided to add a Youtube channel. After working on the Battle of the Bands event in Port Alberni, I felt the best way to showcase it after several posts of various musical acts was to create a slideshow. I am hoping that such slideshows can become a more permanent addition for events. This idea was born out of a few conversations I happen to have regarding other types of "work" and it made sense to give this a try. My youtube channel can be found at @LyndonCassellPhotography. Website Development
I have been spending a significant amount of time developing this website. My goal is to have the largest, most viewed website of Port Alberni. The objective is for the site and pages to attract sponsorship so I can continue taking images of the Valley and keeping this site as current as possible.
Update Feb 22: I am working on a new section entitled "Weather" - one of my purposes to do this is to show some of the day where I would spend hours photographing sunsets and fantastic cloud formations. On this new page I am adding links to specific days where I did just that! Some days the images are just so cool I can only do them justice by showing a series that spans several hours.
Update March 5: Added a section for Winnipeg, Manitoba. It's launch page is "Canada". The launch page for "Canada" is the home page.

I have been to the Rainbow Room Lounge on several occasions and will continue to do so, to take photos of musical acts. One of my photography strengths is as a Music Photographer.

It's always great to get out to the Alberni Valley Multiplex for some hockey.
General Photography
We got an unexpected visitor (actually 2 unexpected visitors) on March 7 when the HMCS Ottawa and HMCS Winnipeg Frigates docked at the Harbour. I went out three times, the first time to get a few images just to have photos of Navy ships. The next day I went out just as the sunset to get some low light images. Their last day was March 9 and I went to get images of them being pushed off the dock by the tug boats and leave the chanel.

Here's a list of up and coming projects and events occurring in the Alberni Valley which I hope to attend, have been booked for, and all other activities which affect my communications and website. Many items will never actually make it here because I get booked often for next day or next week photoshoots.
