"Jagged Face"

"Jagged Face" (or "Her Majesty" as I personally refer to her in images I have posted on social media in the past) overlooks and protects the Alberni Valley. Mount Arrowsmith is the largest mountain on Southern Vancouver Island. When traveling to Port Alberni by car you will drive around her.  Hiking trails allow you to get close and personal to this beauty. At times her weather patterns make her an ideal photographic subject.

To the left of Mt Arrowsmith is The Saddle followed by Mt Cokely. From there you have the Beaufort Range. The Range extends a fair distance. Between them all, the Alberni Valley is well protected on the east side.

Mount Arrowsmith from Harbour Quay.

The Harbour Quay is the most popular location in the Alberni Valley for admiring Mt Arrowsmith.

The wolf tower (formerly the Clock Tower) is an idea location to capture images of Mt Arrowsmith as they can also illustrate Argyle Street in the foreground. Argyle St. leads to the Harbour Quay.

Argyle Street runs East to West and is located on the south side of Port Alberni.
