Port Alberni is home to some of the finest athleticism, venues, and teams in BC. From the Bulldogs of the Western Junior Hockey Association all the way to lawn bowling, there is a league and activity for all ages and competitiveness.  The Funtastic Okee Dokee mixed slow pitch softball tournament is the largest of its kind on Vancouver Island. Every Canada Day long weekend teams from all over the island converge upon Port Alberni for a three day tournament. The ADSS Totem Basketball Tournament is the largest high school basketball event on Vancouver Island.
