The Five Acre Co
Five Acre started as a back yard memorial in 2014, The Five Acre was initially known as the Five Acre Shaker, it was held on a 5 Acre private property. Three years later in 2017 it had grown into a unique 3 day and 3 night music festival featuring local and BC grown talent. While the Covid-19 pandemic put the shaker on hold for 2020 and 2021, the Five Acre emerged stronger and better in 2022. The Five Acre Co was born and it's location was moved from the McLean Mill Historic Site to the grounds of the Fall Fair. Their first concert was the Summer Concert Series and it is about to explode for 2023 with an amazing lineup of musical acts.
The Five Acre Co has invested heavily into a mobile stage, an incredible lighting show and some the best audio on the island. Keep your eye out for the future of music in the Valley and keep coming back to my site for updates as I get to shows and do my part in promoting.

Five Acre Co Events March 19 2023 - George Canyon
Canadian Country sensation George Canyon performed at the Kinsmen center in Port Alberni. Chris Andres opened the evening. Greg Albright followed. Greg has been on tour with Mr. Canyon for his "Our Country Tour".
Five Acre Social House.
The Five Acre Social House is located at the Kinsmen's Fall Fair grounds. This is becoming a place for open mic evenings as well as a great rental location for events.
The Five Acre were the DJ of choice for the annual YPAV (Young Professionals of the Alberni Valley) sunset cruise. I was the official photographer from 2017 - 2019, after which the cruise and the YPAV charitable organization were the victims of the pandemic.
