Industrial Heritage Society

When we go through "The Dip" on tenth avenue our first destination is the Industrial Heritage Building.

The Industrial Heritage building is in the same complex as the Curling Club. Outside is a professional ball diamond and a city owned Park. The IHS (Industrial Heritage Society) is made up of a group of volunteers who maintain the city's industrial assets. In this complex you will be transformed into a past era when forestry was the main industry. The large trucks are a spectacle and they are often put out on display. Many of these same vehicles are road worthy and are shown off in parades such as the Canada Day parade. The volunteers are also in charge of transporting some of these vehicles to shows on Vancouver Island and even shows in the United States.
